A man in his 40s who was drunk and wielded a long sword over 90 cm long was caught by the police in the middle of the city.

According to the Suwon Nambu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 19th, Mr. A (49) was arrested on charges of obstructing the execution of special duties and violating the Firearms and Explosives Act and is being investigated.

Person A is accused of screaming in the street of Ingye-dong, Suwon at 8:35 on the evening of the 18th and wielding a 92 cm long sword. A, who was drunk at the time, was arrested as a current offender by the police who received a report and rushed to the scene.

The police pointed a taser and ordered Mr. A to put down his long sword, and then arrested him when he put the sword on the floor. Fortunately, no one was injured in this commotion.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that the long sword wielded by A was the subject of a report that had to obtain permission to possess it from the police station having jurisdiction over the address, but it was found that Mr. A did not receive permission to possess it.

The police are investigating how the long sword was obtained against A.
