Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung revealed the story behind his blind date with his spouse Kim Hye-kyung through a web autobiography. He said, “The happiest moment is when I comfortably chat with my wife.”
On the 24th, candidate Lee posted a part of his web autobiography on his Facebook page. He said, “My daily life in 1991 was filled with pleadings, interviews, consultations, and case studies. I ran all day without an eye, and at night I had a discussion with local activists over a glass of soju in a shabby bar.” I thought I had to finish it, and I decided to marry the person I met before August was over.”
He said, “I got five blind dates, and on the third I met a fateful person. The name of the person I fell in love with at first sight was Kim Hye-Kyung,” he said. I couldn’t stand it anymore, so I chased after her every evening,” he recalled.
He continued, “Kim Hye-kyung graduated from Sookmyung Women’s University and went to church on Sundays. It was soft and warm, bright and pleasant.” “My emotions went straight and the fourth time we met, I proposed to you. Kim Hye-kyung laughed. I thought it wasn’t a car. I fell in love with her that much.”

He continued, “Kim Hye-kyung allowed me to meet even for the face of the person I introduced her to, so I went on two more blind dates. If I had to pick the best thing I did at the show, it was marrying my wife,” he emphasized.
