Kottayam: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy thanked Health Minister Veena George. Oommenchandy thanked Minister Veena George in his keynote speech at the inauguration of the Kottayam Parambukara Health and Wellness Centre.
Seven people were bitten by dogs in Kottayam Pampadi. On reaching there, Oommen Chandy saw the family’s concern and called Minister Veena George and informed about this. Immediately, Minister Siru called Philip, Head of Department of Community Medicine, Kottayam Medical College and directed him to take necessary action. The medical team reached the houses in Pampadi and met the family members.
Meenadam Medical Officer Dr. Ranju Varghese and Dr. Cyrus was with Philip. All aspects were discussed in detail with these families and psychological support was given to boost their confidence. Further information is being sought. This was a great relief for them. Oommen Chandy thanked and congratulated the minister for his quick action.
