According to the data released on the 21st by Rep. Young-in Ko, a member of the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee, after analyzing data from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the Fair Trade Commission, there were 341 cases of violations of the Food Sanitation Act by franchise coffee shops over the past five years from 2016.
Among them, a Twosome Place accounted for 80 cases, accounting for 23.5% of the total, followed by Ediya (71 cases, 20.8%) and Back Coffee Shop (66 cases, 19.4%).
Starbucks was 7th with a total of 18 violations (5.3%), and the franchise with the lowest number of violations was Paul Bassett with 2 (0.6%).
A total of 508 cases of violations of the Food Sanitation Act were found at bakeries and bakeries. Paris Baguette (234 items, 46.1%), Tous Les Jours (199 items, 39.2%), with the overwhelming number of stores, and Dunkin Donuts (46 items, 9.1%) took the first to third places.
