Who will come to my funeral?… A Brazilian man held a fake funeral

A chapel in Brazil where a funeral is held in a solemn atmosphere.

A man in a silver hoodie suddenly appears on the podium and takes off his hat to reveal his face.

People who gathered to commemorate the deceased were caught in a moment of absurdity.

This is because this man who appeared was the ‘deceased’ at the funeral that day.

A Brazilian man in his 60s faked his own death and held a fake funeral.

According to Central and South American media infobae, Bautazar Remus, a 60-year-old man, posted a photo of the entrance to a hospital in Sao Paulo on his social media in the middle of last month, as if he were in the hospital.

Then, on the 17th of last month, he posted a message saying goodbye to his family and acquaintances, saying that his condition had worsened.

Remus’ acquaintances could not hide their great sadness at the sudden sad news and posted comments on the post to pray for the soul of the deceased, saying, “Suddenly, what is happening?”

A few hours later, a notification message was also released on Remus’ social media profile, saying, “January 18th at 7:30 pm, we will commemorate him in the Curitiba Chapel.”

However, on the day of the memorial service, Remus’ voice suddenly came through the speaker in the chapel, and he really did appear.

“I wanted to know who would actually come to my funeral, not just my birthday,” he told local media.

It was known that family and acquaintances exploded in anger, saying it was a ‘disgusting joke’ and ‘the first thing they would do if they saw it was hit him hard’.

Remus’ nephew said, “I searched the Sao Paulo hospital and first confirmed that my uncle was not dead.”

Even on social media, there are many reactions that say, “The act of playing with death is shameful,” and that he crossed the line.

Remus asked very late for forgiveness, saying, “I didn’t want to hurt or offend anyone,” and “I sincerely apologize to my family, my acquaintances, and many people.”
