“I want to inspire young people to pursue their dreams”

According to Reuters on the 18th local time, Mac Rutherford (16), the youngest person in the world to fly around the world alone, said this after landing safely at the Kenyan capital, Nairobi Wilson Airport.

Born into a family of pilots, he first flew alongside his father at the age of seven.

Then, in July 2020, at the age of 15, she became the youngest pilot in the world, and now she is succeeding her older sister, Zara, who circumnavigated the world at the age of 19.

“It was difficult because I couldn’t see well, but the scenery around me more than compensates for the difficulties,” Rutherford said.

He plans to visit four more countries in Africa and the Indian Ocean in a two-seater, single-engine propeller aircraft before returning to Europe via the Middle East, Asia and North America.
