Will Chuu’s entertainment activities come to a halt… Blockberry files a complaint with the Korean Federation of Trade Associations

Former member Loona Chuu. Provided by Blockberry CreativeBlockberry Creative, the agency of the girl group Loona, requested a ban on entertainment activities in relation to Chew, a former member of Loona, who is in conflict over settlement issues.

Star News reported on the 1st that Blockberry Creative submitted a petition to the Korea Entertainment Management Association (Yeonmaehyup) and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association (Yeonjehyup) in December last year to ban Chuu from performing in the entertainment industry. Chew is said to have lodged a complaint with the Sanghaehyeop Compensation and Punishment Committee for breach of management contract, citing the fact that Chuu had previously contacted (interfered with) another agency despite being a member of Blockberry Creative.

In this regard, Blockberry Creative told CBS Nocut News on the 2nd, “The content of the report is true.” Blockberry Creative explained that they will also file complaints against the four members Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, and Choiri, who recently applied for an injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract and won the case.

Regarding this, an official from the Korean Federation of Maeil Cooperatives also said in a phone call with CBS No Cut News on the same day, “It is true that Blockberry submitted a petition related to Chu in December last year.” According to this official, petitions regarding the four Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, and Choiri have not yet been submitted.

An official from the Federation of Societies declined to comment on the date of Chuu’s attendance, future progress, and whether the results will be published when they come out, saying, “We are limited in our ability to answer questions that relating to the reward and punishment. committee.” We also contacted Chuu’s agency, BypoM, but no position has been released regarding this matter.

LOONA, which officially started in 2018, started with 12 members. Member Chuu, who was the single most active member of the team, admitted that he still had not received any settlement, raising suspicions of an unfair settlement. Chuu won some of the lawsuits that raised issues with the ‘3:7 revenue burden, 5:5 settlement cost’ contract, but agency Blockberry Creative notified Chuu of being kicked out, saying he had abused the staff, and last year the team was reorganized into a group of 11 members.

In addition, in the request for an injunction to stop the exclusive contract by the 9 members of Loona against Blockberry Creative, 4 Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, and Choiri prevailed, and Haseul, Yeojin, Eve, Gowon, and Olivia Hye lost. The truth was revealed on the 13th of last month. Hyunjin and Bibi did not participate in this lawsuit.
