Will Xi Jinping be a “messenger of peace”? China’s actions to look back on China, which mediated the normalization of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, are also positive for mediating peace in the Ukraine war (1/7) | JBpress (JBpress)

China’s National People’s Congress (the National People’s Congress, equivalent to the National Assembly) closed on March 13.

First, I need to make one correction. Before the opening of the National People’s Congress, after the 2nd Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China (2nd Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee), Hong Kong Shimbun and others reported the scoop. The biggest hot issue of the National People’s Congress, the “Plan to Reform the Party and State Organization,” calls for the transfer of the public security and intelligence functions of the Ministry of Public Security and State Security from the State Council to the Central. The Party Committee, the creation of the Central Home Affairs Commission, and the creation of “a Chinese version of the KGB. It was information that we might do something similar”. This information was presented in this column published on March 2 (“Xi Jinping Begins Great Purge, Signs of ‘Stalinization’ with China’s KGB Launched”).

However, the Ministry of Public Security and National Security was not mentioned in the State Council’s institutional reform plan discussed at the National People’s Congress. As a result, the Chinese version of the KGB was a “fake joke.”

It is currently unclear whether this was some kind of observation balloon or information war to stir up public opinion through the Hong Kong media, or whether it was planned but postponed due to public opposition.

Significant progress in Xi Jinping’s “great power peace diplomacy”.

However, there is no doubt that throughout the National People’s Congress, Xi Jinping has been adjusting personnel and institutions in such a way that he will personally direct general policies in the economy, technology, diplomacy, civilian life, and the army. Personally, I would like someone to put a brake on Xi Jinping’s dictatorship, but it is a fact that the current winds in the international community are favorable to Xi Jinping’s seizure of power.
