Jai Shah had said that India will not go to Pakistan in the Asia Cup next year. This caused widespread protests. The Pakistan Board also said that Pakistan will not participate in the One Day World Cup to be held in India in 2023.
Rohit Sharma was asked about this ahead of their World Cup debut. India’s first match will be against arch-rivals Pakistan.
“My decision is to let us focus on this World Cup because it is important to us. We don’t care what happens next. No need to think about it, BCCI will take a decision about it. We are focusing on tomorrow’s game,” said Rohit.
