Williams Racing has officially announced Logan Sargent as a driver for 2023.
Logan Sargent finished the season in 4th place in the 2022 FIA-F2 Championship with two feature race wins and two podiums for 148 points and was named Rookie of the Year at the end. Eligible for F1 Super Licence.
Williams Academy star Logan Sargent completes the squad list for the 2023 season with Alex Albon. First American driver since 2015.

“I would like to thank everyone at Williams Racing and Dorilton Motorsport for their support since the day I first joined the team at the 2021 United States Grand Prix.”

Jost Kapit, CEO and team principal of Williams Racing, said: “Following the final F2 event of the season in Abu Dhabi, we are delighted to officially announce Logan as our driver for next year after qualifying for a superlicence.”

Williams Racing Sporting Director Sven Smeets said: “Having become an integral part of our driver academy, it is an honor for the team to be able to give Logan the opportunity to race in Formula 1 for Williams Racing next year. He proud moment,” he said.
“Seeing an academy driver take a seat in Formula 1 is motivation for all the other academy drivers and it shows the legitimacy of the program and the platform it provides. We will prepare it on the right track. But we will also working hard off track over the winter to ensure he is in the best possible position for the start of 2023.”
