With all that out there in the IPL, is this a different place; The ICC rejected the crucial proposal

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has invited tenders for the broadcasting rights for the next cycle following the IPL’s media auction. The ICC has so far been waiting to see who gets the IPL media rights and bids.

Now that the IPL auction is over, the ICC The media has been invited for the right to broadcast the event.

Although the ICC’s media rights will not sell for as much as the IPL, broadcasters have raised a major concern for the ICC.

Broadcasters are proposing an e-auction similar to the IPL’s sale of media rights. However, the ICC has opposed the proposal and intends to proceed with the Closed Auction.

ICC Chairman Greg Barclay has said that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has its own set of procedures and should never assume that their actions are similar to those of the BCCI.

Greg told InsideSport.

‘Our actions are not like those of the BCCI, it is different. We are happy with the way we approach this issue, “said Barclays.

But the broadcasters are demanding the same measures as in the IPL. But Barclay follows the policy of not having to take it at face value.

‘Broadcasters may have their own position. But I want to be different from that. That is our right. We have prepared it based on some suggestions and studies, ‘Barclay added.

Disney Star India acquired the broadcasting rights for the ICC events for the 2015-2023 cycle. But the ICC wants to change the cycle.

The ICC has decided to halve the eight-year cycle to four years. The ICC is now preparing for the next four years of broadcasting rights.
