From next month, Korean and Japanese nationals who have been fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) will be able to enter Australia.

According to ABC News on the 22nd, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said, “From early December, visitors from Korea and Japan who have been fully vaccinated will be able to enter Australia without a separate entry permit.” The comeback is an important milestone in the Corona crisis.”

The target group includes students and skilled worker visa holders, refugees and working holiday visa holders.

According to the decision, visitors from South Korea and Japan must submit a negative result of COVID-19 through a gene amplification test (PCR) conducted three days before entering Australia.

The government expects that allowing foreigners to enter the country will help the tourism industry recover.

Interior Minister Karen Andrews said at a press conference that “these changes are important to Australia as it reopens.” “We are looking for ways to get them back to Australia,” he said.

Earlier this month, Australia switched to coexistence with Corona 19, the so-called ‘with Corona’, and has implemented a strong lockdown policy since March 20 last year.
