Sunday afternoon, a 60-year-old woman shot in Jackson, the police said.
The victim, identified as Greta Roundtree by Hinds County coroner, died on Monday morning.
Her 58-year-old boyfriend, Nathan Windom, is in custody, said a tweet from Jackson's Police Department. Windom was first charged with domestic aggravated assault, and is charged to murder.
The shooting took place just before 3:30 pm. On Sunday in the 5200 block of Brookhollow Drive, the police said.
