Women’s T20 T20 tournament, India beat West Indies

The Indian women’s team has won the T20 tri-nation series for the second time after defeating the West Indies. India won the match by 56 runs against the West Indies at the Buffalo Park in East London. Batting first, India scored 167/2 in the allotted 20 overs, while West Indies’ response was restricted to 111/4. India won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Yastika Bhatia is not able to perform as expected. The player scored 18 runs in 23 balls. India looked under pressure as Harlin Deol, who came third, also dropped suddenly, but the in-form Smriti Mandana and captain Harman Preet Kaur brought the team back. Windies bowlers were sweating as both of them started finding boundaries with ease. Opener Smriti Mandana remained unbeaten on 74 runs off 51 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and a six. On the other hand, Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 56 runs off 35 balls. Mandana and Harman’s third wicket stand was 115 runs in 11.4 overs. Their innings gave India the best score.
