After 12 consecutive defeats, the Sri Lankan women won the Twenty20 against the Indian women. Sri Lanka won the third Twenty20 by seven wickets. India won the series 2–1.
Captain Chamari Athappattu’s performance gave Sri Lanka the victory. Batting first, India could score only 138 for five. Sri Lanka won by 17 overs. Chamari remained unbeaten on 80 off 48 balls. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was the top scorer for India with 39 off 33 balls. Man of the Series is Harmanpreet.
