The Venezuelan women’s soccer team, with a goal from Deyna Castellanos in a brilliant individual action, beat Uruguay 1-0 this Monday in the second of two friendly matches against the Charrúas in preparation for the Pan American Games in Santiago-2023.
Castellanos wrote in the 67th minute of the match at the UCV Olympic Stadium, in Caracas. The Manchester City player kicked the red after two dribbles that left the goal at her mercy: the first neutralized a defender and the second left goalkeeper Sofía Olivera scattered on the grass.
Last Thursday, in the same scenario, Vinotinto had won with the same score.
Under the direction of Italian Pamela Conti, Venezuela shares a group in the Pan American Games with Argentina, the United States and Costa Rica. Castellanos, unfortunately for his coach, will be absent from the regional multi-sports event as a result of his commitments to City.
