With less than three months to go before the World Cup U-17 FIFA Brazil 2019 The FIFA Referees Committee starts 20 games officers, five Support Referees and 17 Assistant Referees (VARs), representing all six conferences.
This Brazilian competition will give ambitious FIFA referees the opportunity to showcase their quality and take another big step in their careers.
The FIFA Referencing Department will organize the preparation of the referee for the junior youth competition and will focus on a wide range of topics, including officer reading on the game, football awareness, location for offsetting, teamwork, good decision making, and the importance of related to accepting the position or the best angle – ie being in the right place at the right time.

Continuing from the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India 2017, where Esther Staubli made Swiss performance out of one game, FIFA picked other women again for a men's competition. Ms. Claudia Umpierrez and Luciana Mascarana from Uruguay will work with Ecuador's Monica Amboya to perform three people during the tournament, and Edina Alves Batista from Brazil has been appointed as Support Referee. In addition: Bibiana Steinhaus (Germany) and Quetzalli Alvarado (Mexico) were named among the VARs for this competition.
The World Cup U-17 FIFA Brazil 2019 place in Brasilia (Gama), Goiania and Vitoria (Cariacica) between 26 October and 17 November 2019. The final will be played by Estadio Bezerrao in Brasilia on 17 November.
