The governor Wanda Vázquez Garced appointed Sunday Osvaldo Soto García as secretary of Public Affairs of La Fortaleza.
According to the first executive, The intention of the appointment is to “strengthen” your communications team.
“The appointment of Osvaldo Soto García is effective on January 15, but, as a result of the situation we are facing, he has already begun to work fully to be able to reinforce communications and be able to keep citizens informed of the aid and efforts performed for the benefit of those affected by the earthquakes. Similarly, Soto García will continue working to provide effective and transparent communication, ”said the governor through a press release.
Until last week Soto García served as Secretary of Public Affairs of the Senate, where he worked since 2017.
Vázquez Garced said the official worked as a journalist at WKAQ 580 AM between 2006 and 2009, while between 2000 and 2008 he was news director, journalist and moderator at the WABA Radio 850 AM station.
Likewise, He worked as director of Public Relations and the Office of Recreation and Sports of the Municipality of Moca between 1996 and 2000.

Vázquez Garced had appointed in December the journalist José Sánchez Acosta as secretary of Public Affairs, but then withdrew his appointment to the criticism he received from the leadership of the New Progressive Party (PNP).
