The group’s induction comes during their first year of nomination. With the addition of the Wu-Tang Clan, alongside other hip-hop pioneers being honored this year, We find now 18 hip-hop acts represented in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This trajectory began in 2007 with the induction of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, followed by other influential acts such as Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, and N.W.A.
