The European release date and price of the latest low-cost smartphone ‘Redmi 12’ from Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand have been reported.
According to French media Dealabs, ‘Redmi 12’ has a 6.79-inch IPS TFT display that supports 90Hz refresh rate and 2460×1080 pixel resolution, and has a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage inside. It can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD slot.
The 5000mAh battery supports 18W fast charging and comes with a triple camera that includes a 50MP main camera + 8MP ultra-wide camera + 2MP macro camera on the back and a 12MP selfie camera on the front.
Additionally, it supports dual speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint scanner. As for the operating system, the MIUI 13 version based on Android 12 is said to be very likely to be pre-installed.
The media said, “Redmi 12 offers blue, silver and black color options and will be released in the European market on June 2 at 199 euros (about 279,000 won).”
