Shall I step down from ‘National Singing Contest’, which Song Hae played as ‘National MC’ for 34 years?
On the morning of the 17th, KBS told YTN star, “We are checking whether Song Hae has expressed his intention to leave the ‘National Singing Contest’ crew.”
Previously, it was reported that Song Hae was recently admitted to Asan Hospital in Seoul and is receiving treatment. KBS made an official statement saying, “It is not a serious condition, and it is for treatment at the level of a routine examination.”
However, some believe that the outdoor recording of ‘National Singing Contest’ could be a burden on his physical strength because Song Hae is so old.
Song Hae was hospitalized for health problems in January as well. In March, he was quarantined after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and focused on recovery, and returned to ‘Proud of National Song’, which aired on the 10th of last month.
Meanwhile, Song Hae, born in 1927, debuted in 1955 and has been active in the entertainment industry for 66 years. From 1988 to the present, he has been the MC of ‘National Song Proud’ and is called ‘Broadcasting Witness’.
‘National Singing Contest’ is also the longest running program in Korea. It is the origin of the public participation type audition program that shows the talent, passion, wit, and wit of the amateur performers who participated in each region.
