Yang Hyun-jong relegated to Triple-A in minor league after 2 weeks

Yang Hyun-jong (33, Texas Rangers) was relegated to the minor league Triple-A again.

Texas returned right-handed pitcher Drew Anderson and infielder Brock Holt, who were on the COVID-19-related injured list, to the first team ahead of the game against the Houston Astros on the 15th (Korean time), and replaced Yang Hyun-jong and left-handed pitcher Wes Benjamin. Said to be sent to Triple A.

As a result, Yang Hyun-jong returned to the major leagues (MLB) on the 2nd and returned to the minor leagues two weeks later.

In the home game against the Houston Astros the day before, Yang Hyun-jong came to the rescue from two runs in the first half of the sixth inning, when the team was being led 1-11, and allowed four hits and two runs in 2⅓ innings, including two home runs.

Texas lost 1-15 that day, and Yang Hyun-jong’s season ERA rose further from 5.45 to 5.65.

Yang Hyun-jong appeared in a total of 12 games, including starting four times in Texas at the beginning of the season, but has only lost three without a win.
