Yankees Top the Mariners as C.C. Sabathia Bests Felix Hernandez

The birch took Felix Hernandez, building a large cushion for C.C. Sabathia in the exhibition of celebrities, and broke the Seattle Mariners, 7-3, Monday.

Luke Voit, Brett Gardner and Thairo Estrada ended Hernandez, giving 6-0 lead to Sabathia after two seizures, and the Yankees held his 12th victory in 16 games.

Hernandez (1-3) set down and lived five innings, enabling seven.

Hernandez only allowed two homers in 12 starting careers in the Bronx. He allowed three out of seven chairs on Monday.

“One of those nights when I didn't have the best thing,” said Hernandez.

Sabingo Santana and Dee Gordon put an end to Sabathia (2-1), but he restricted Seattle to three of more than five of the admissions and reached five in the first place since he became the 17th primer. with 3,000 vocational professions.

Sabathia and Hernandez joined 5,498 combined strikes, the largest between beginners since Randy Johnson (4,867) faced Roy Oswalt (1,418) Houston in 2009.

Sabathia reached Mitch Haniger on three playing fields to start the game and put it through the order. He was tired in the fifth, loading the tires with a four-field walk to Santana with two before he broke Jay Bruce's bat first.

Hernandez was steeper this season than during the 2018 downturn, relying more on his peak and making better strikes to spend jobs. Everything fell apart quickly in the Bronx.

Voit met two times in the first place, while Gardner took care of the second. Gardner increased by three and scored third.

Estrada went the other way to rectify the center in the second of his first league homage, then he received the usual routine treatment in his teeth after rounding the coins.

“You see the way we did not recognize it,” said Sabathia with a smile. “It always tells you that we care about man.”

Hernandez and Estrada grew up in Valencia, Venezuela.

“I watched his games as a baby,” Estrada said 23 years of age through an interpreter. “It seems like a dream to face it and be able to connect.”

Seattle had the sixth place loading against Jonathan Holder but was unable to push any runs across. Adam Ottavino relieved him and received an information leaflet from Haniger, and Estrada made a very short play to charge Tim Beckham's slow-warden for the final.

Santana met a two-runner in the fourth and Gordon put a single shot in the fifth. Gordon had three hits, but the Seamen dropped seven.

New York City has not lost a series of seasons against Seattle since 2003, going 12-0-4.

The three baseman Gio Urshela, who is still in the line despite the fact that Miguel Andujar came back from the injured list on Saturday, helped Sabathia with a couple of similar defensive plays. He stole the shoulder on the top that Omar Narvaez had in a shallow field on the left third, and then interrupted a chopper and threw Beckham first.

“That is my game now, he wants to get a soft touch,” said Sabathia. “And these guys are doing great plays behind me.”

Clint Frazier (sprained ankle) returned from the injured list of Yankees and started in the right field. He went 0 for 4.
