On Thursday, the 29th, there is news of rain mainly in the central region and northern Gyeongsangbuk-do in the morning with heavy clouds across the country. It is expected that rain mixed with yellow dust will fall in some areas.

The Meteorological Administration predicted, “Because of the impact of the pressure valley moving eastward in the west sea, rain begins in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province in the morning, Gangwon-do, Chungcheong region, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, and the western inland of Gyeongnam, and it will expand to the whole country at dawn on the 30th.

Most of this rain will stop in the morning of the 30th, but it is expected that there will be some places in the metropolitan area, Gangwon-do, and northern Chungbuk until the afternoon. At night, the rain will start again from the west and will expand across the country.

In particular, on the afternoon of the 29th, the atmosphere becomes very unstable as cold air flows southward to the upper floors of Korea. Gangwon-do and northern Chungbuk, Gyeongbuk-do, eastern Gyeongnam-do, and eastern regions such as Ulleungdo and Dokdo may have a gust of wind and showers accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Estimated precipitation is less than 5 mm in Gangwon-do, northern Chungbuk, Gyeongbuk, eastern Gyeongnam, Ulleung-do, Dokdo, 5-40 mm, metropolitan area, Chungcheong area, Jeolla area, and western Gyeongnam.

The Meteorological Administration said, “Since yellow dust originating from the Gobi Desert is inflow, yellow dust may be mixed in rain or showers.”

The lowest temperature in the morning is expected to be 8-14 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature in the daytime is expected to be 16-25 degrees Celsius.

The estimated minimum morning temperatures for each region are 12 degrees in Seoul, 12 degrees in Incheon, 9 degrees in Chuncheon, 12 degrees in Gangneung, 12 degrees in Daejeon, 14 degrees in Daegu, 14 degrees in Busan, 12 degrees in Jeonju, 13 degrees in Gwangju, and 15 degrees in Jeju.

Expected maximum temperatures during the day are 21 degrees in Seoul, 18 degrees in Incheon, 21 degrees in Chuncheon, 19 degrees in Gangneung, 23 degrees in Daejeon, 23 degrees in Daegu, 21 degrees in Busan, 23 degrees in Jeonju, 24 degrees in Gwangju, and 23 degrees in Jeju.

The concentration of fine dust will show’bad’ level due to the accumulation of residual yellow dust and domestic and foreign fine dust mainly in the southern inland regions such as Chungnam, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk.

In Jeonnam, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, fine dust (PM10) is expected to be temporarily’bad’ level in the morning due to yellow dust, and other areas will show’normal’ level.

From the afternoon on the coasts of the country and some inland, the wind will blow strongly at 30-45 km/h, and there are places where gusts blow.

The waves of the sea will rise from 0.5 to 1.5m in both the East Sea, the West Sea, and the South Sea.

The wave height of the far sea is expected to be 0.5 to 2.0 m in the east sea, 0.5 to 4.0 m in the west sea, and 0.5 to 3.0 m in the south sea.
