Yemen peace talks begin in Riyadh World | Deshabhimani

Dammam: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Wednesday began talks at the General Secretariat of the Co-operative Council in Riyadh on Wednesday to resolve the Yemeni crisis. Peace talks are expected to continue until April 7. The only solution is a peaceful solution to the crisis in Yemen, said Dr. Naif Falah Mubarak al-Hajraf, secretary general of the Cooperation Council for Arab States in the Gulf.

Dr Naif said the solution was for Yemen and it was in the hands of the Yemenis. He was speaking after the start of Yemen’s peace talks at the Gulf Cooperation Council headquarters in Riyadh today. He said the Yemeni peace talks were a platform to find the reality of transitioning the country from war to peace. Success in Yemen peace talks is not an option; On the contrary, it is imperative that this be achieved, and we hope that the talks will create an opportunity for peace in Yemen, “he said.

The coalition announced its support for the peace talks and announced that it would suspend military operations from this morning. Coalition forces spokesman Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki announced that they were suspending military operations in Yemen to ensure the success of the peace talks and to create a favorable atmosphere during the holy month of Ramadan. Military action has also been suspended in response to a request from Co-operation Council Secretary-General Dr Naif al-Hajraf to suspend military operations.

The talks will focus on efforts to reach a comprehensive and lasting political solution to end the Yemeni crisis. The peace talks are being attended by about 500 people, including leaders from various Yemeni organizations, civic leaders and national and international organizations. The talks are expected to resolve the Yemeni crisis.

Mubarak, a well-known Saudi political observer, has said that the coalition’s response to the call by the secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for a ceasefire in Yemen aimed at making the talks a success and creating a conducive atmosphere during the blessed month is a testament to the coalition’s top priority in achieving peace, security and stability in the country.
