In the United Arab Emirates, the economic center of the Middle East, an international airport and oil facilities have been attacked by drones and drones.

A fire broke out at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the capital of the UAE, and an oil facility at the Korea National Oil Corporation on the 17th local time, local media reported.

The explosion left three people dead and six injured while working at an oil facility.

There were no casualties in the explosion at Abu Dhabi International Airport, but it is known that flights were temporarily suspended.

Yemen’s rebel Houthis said they were responsible for the drone attack and even hinted at the possibility of further attacks.

The drone was estimated to have launched a sortie from Sanaa, Yemen, a base for rebels, about 1,300 km from Abu Dhabi.

Yemeni rebels have often attacked Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, major airports and oil refineries, but attacks on the UAE mainland are rare.

Saudi-led coalition forces immediately launched airstrikes against the rebel-held capital of Sana’a.

The civil war in Yemen has escalated into a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, with an estimated 370,000 deaths since it began in 2014.

With Yemen’s civil war escalating in the past year, the rebels’ attack on the UAE is likely to escalate tensions in the Middle East.
