Yesan County Welfare Center for the Disabled, won 2 table tennis medals from the National Chess for the Disabled

[금강일보 이회윤 기자] Kim Young-min, who is active in the Sports Team Club of Yesan County Disabled Persons Welfare Center, gave a great performance by winning a total of two medals including a gold medal and a silver medal in the table tennis event of the 41st National Paralympic Games held in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do from the 20th to the 25th.

The National Sports Day for the Disabled, hosted by the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled and co-hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Council for the Disabled, participated in a total of 30 sports and 9,171 athletes and executives from 16 cities and provinces nationwide.

Kim Young-min participated in the table tennis team of Chungnam Province and won a gold medal in the women’s doubles category and a silver medal in the women’s team event.

Deok-gyu Lim, director of the Yesan Welfare Center for the Disabled, said, “I would like to express my sincere congratulations to Kim Young-min, who has achieved good results by constantly preparing for the tournament despite the COVID-19 situation.


Meanwhile, Yesan County Welfare Center for the Disabled operates health classes for the disabled (indoor rowing, badminton, sedentary volleyball, weightlifting, basketball) and sports team programs, etc.
