The G7 Summit kicks off today… Russia to ban gold imports
The G7 summit of seven major countries will be held for three days from today (26th) at Elmau Castle in the Alps, Bavaria, Germany.
At this meeting, the G7 leaders are expected to discuss the ‘Marshall Plan’ to support Ukraine along with measures to intensify pressure on Russia.
The Marshall Plan was an aid program that the United States spent billions of dollars on to rebuild Europe right after World War II.
The G7 leaders will also agree to a ban on gold imports from Russia.
Russia accounts for 10% of global gold production.
