Kim Seung-hee resigns as Minister of Health and Welfare… “It hurts the family.”
Kim Seung-hee, a candidate for Minister of Health and Welfare, who was commissioned for an investigation on charges of violating the Political Funds Act, has resigned voluntarily.
Candidate Kim issued a statement today (the 4th) and repeatedly explained that the various allegations were not true, but said that it was very difficult for him to hurt his honor as well as his family in the process, and he said that he was resigning from the candidacy.
Regarding the allegation of violation of the Political Funds Act, he explained that he humbly accepts the point that political funds cannot be freed from management responsibilities, while arguing that there is no intentional use of political funds for private purposes.
