Lee Jae-myeong’s ‘assistant’ Jung Jin-sung requests for arrest warrant… questioning tomorrow

Jeong Jin-sang, head of the political coordination office at the party’s representative office, who is closest to Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myeong, filed a complaint with the court two days after his arrest.

The suitability trial is a procedure where the person arrested seeks a second ruling from the court asking whether the arrest is appropriate.

Chief Jung is accused of taking 140 million won in money and goods between 2013 and 2020 in exchange for providing various facilities to the Daejang-dong gang.

On the 19th, the court issued an arrest warrant for Jung, saying, “There is a risk of destroying evidence and fleeing.” The inquiry will be held tomorrow (23rd).
