The families of the victims of the ‘Itaewon Disaster’ made an official post for the first time and called for an apology from President Seok-yeol Yoon and a thorough investigation into the truth.
The grieving families held a press conference today (22nd) at a lawyer’s meeting for a democratic society in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and revealed their feelings.
He appealed to President Yoon, “Tell me what the state has done for the lives and safety of the people.”
They issued six demands, including a genuine apology from the state, fact-finding that guarantees victim participation, and measures to prevent secondary harm.
