Immediately after declaring a re-challenge for the presidential election, the United States Department of Justice appointed a special prosecutor dedicated to the investigation of former President Trump.
He explained that he was to investigate allegations of leaking classified documents and inciting congressional riots.
“Considering the recent situation, including the former president’s statement of running for president and the current president’s intention to run for re-election, I have come to the conclusion that it is in the public interest to appoint a special prosecutor.”
It is also said that the prosecution’s investigation into the so-called “suspected silence on a sexual scandal” by former President Trump six years ago has also resumed.
At the time, Trump’s personal lawyer was found guilty of paying a large settlement to silence a woman who alleged an inappropriate relationship with former President Trump.

The New York Times reported that prosecutors are accelerating investigations into key figures in the Trump group.
