Last September, what is known as ‘L’, who was the main suspect in the ‘Second Nth Room’ case, was arrested in Australia after being tracked down by the police.

L tried to cut his tail by deleting his Telegram ID.

There was another sexual exploitation video on the seized mobile phone that the victims were unaware of.

A Korean man with his hands tied by Australian police is dragged out of his room.

Soon after, our police followed.

A man in his 20s who was known as ‘L’ and who committed crimes of sexual exploitation against minors has been caught in Australia.

Between the end of 2020 and last August, L is accused of threatening children and teenagers to produce and distribute around 1,200 sexually exploitative materials.

At the time Jo Joo-bin Jo and Hyung-wook Moon were arrested, L approached the victims, saying that they would help by impersonating the ‘Tracker Flame’, who publicized the Nth room case.

Only 9 victims were confirmed, all minors.

The police, who had formed a dedicated investigative team and continued the investigation, recently identified L and conducted a joint investigation with the Australian police through an Interpol red notice.

“The search and seizure warrants were executed over 140 times, and the fact that they were traced through telegram records of conversations with victims and interviews with people who had spoken to A (L)…”

Police confiscated two El mobile phones at the scene, one of which contained other exploits that the victims were unaware of.

There are two major charges against El, who is being held in custody in Australia.

Under Australian law, not only charges of possession of child sexual exploitation material carry a maximum sentence of 15 years, but also charges of refusing to provide passwords carry up to 10 years in prison for not providing passwords for electronic devices who also has possession.

The key is whether L can be officially investigated in Korea.

The police said, “Since the suspect and the victim are Koreans, we plan to return them to Korea through the extradition process, but the timing has not been determined.”

Not only those who threatened the victim directly or indirectly, but also those who watched the video are under investigation.

The police arrested a total of 26 people, and among them, 6 suspects were arrested on charges of directly luring victims or distributing personal information.
