Jeong Jin-sang’s detention extended… Indictment before expiring on the 11th of the following month

Prosecutors have extended the arrest period for the head of the political coordination office in the representative office, Jeong Jin-sang, who is the closest aide to Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea.

The 1st Anti-Corruption Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office extended the arrest period for Chief Jung with the court’s permission.

Prosecutors can detain a suspect for a maximum of 20 days, extending once on a 10-day basis.

On the 21st, Chief Jung received a review to keep him, and the period of arrest was extended to the 11th of the following month.

Chief Jung was previously arrested on the 19th on charges of receiving 140 million won in money and goods in exchange for providing a facility to the ‘Daejang-dong gang’ and promising to receive around 42.8 billion won out of business development profits .

Prosecutors plan to prosecute Chief Chung before the expiration date after confirming Lee’s involvement.
