Lee Jae-myung, head of the Democratic Party of Korea, decided to appear before the prosecution on Friday regarding the suspicion of Daejang-dong.
This is the third time that Lee has gone before the prosecution for his investigation.

Representative Lee Jae-myung, who held an unscheduled press conference two days after the prosecution’s second subpoena investigation.
While the prosecution complained that they were doing ‘offensive political acts’ by taking their time, they said they would receive additional investigations over the weekend.
“I think I’m paying the price because I lost the presidential election, and it’s insulting and unfair, but I’m told to come as a loser, so I go again.”
After a battle of nerves with the prosecution, who requested attendance during the week, Lee decided to go to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office on Friday the 10th, said Ho-young Ahn, the party’s chief spokesman.
It is said that he will attend the Party’s Supreme Committee meeting which is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30am and will attend around 11am.
Representative Lee stressed that he would only be accompanied by a lawyer, as if he was aware of criticism from within and outside the party for the fact that a large number of lawmakers were with him in the last attendance.
“(Can we say that the leaders and legislators are not going to attend this presence?) I asked for trust not to come.”
It is interpreted that he has shown himself to break through the judicial risk and has repeatedly revealed his will to strengthen party unity.
Representative Lee intends to respond with the content of the written statement submitted last time in this investigation.
People’s power fiercely criticized CEO Lee’s attitude, saying additional investigations were natural.
“Respect the rule of law and the investigative system of the Republic of Korea, and go if necessary. Out of a sense of privilege, I am an exception. How could that be political oppression?”
In addition, the format in which Lee announced a date to appear in the prosecution due to personal accusations in the name of the main spokesperson of the Democratic Party was criticized as inappropriate.
