The matter of violence in the school by the son of Solicitor Jeong will be discussed at the hearing of the National Assembly at 10:00am on the 31st.

Prior to the decision, the hearing agenda was passed only by the opposition as the ruling party withdrew in protest over the adoption of witnesses and procedures.

In 2017, when the incident happened, the power of the people demanded that the Blue House and the head of the Ministry of Education of the Moon Jae-in be witnesses, and the opposition came to face them, asking if they should also call the prosecution. primary responsibility for personnel verification.

“To adopt Chief Cho Kook and Minister Eun-Hye Yoo as witnesses for the hearing, then Prosecutor Dong-Hoon Han and Prosecutor General Seok-Yeol Yoon are also not free.

The power of the people accused the opposition of breaking the National Assembly Act by holding a one-sided meeting from the agenda the day before, even though there was an issue that could not be agreed upon, such as the issue of witnesses.

“In this part, which unilaterally pushed the meeting of the Agenda Committee, the members of the education committee of the Democratic Party wrote another dark history in our National Assembly. What is waiting 5 minutes? Should I go and have a meeting immediately when my call?”

In response, Yoo Ki-hong, chairman of the Education Committee of the Democratic Party, refuted that the procedure was appropriate, saying that he had informed in advance that the meeting could be held.

The opposition is in the position that the education authorities have no choice but to hold a hearing because the answer to the last pending question is poor.

Twenty people were selected as witnesses, including Attorney Chung, the principals of the two high schools where Attorney Chung’s son attended, the head of the University’s Admissions Office, and a lawyer who represented the administrative lawsuit for the cancellation of a transfer due to incentives Attorney Chung at the Judicial Research and Training Institute.

Chairman Ki-Hong Yoo said that if Attorney Chung does not appear at the hearing, he will call his wife or children who commit violence in the school as witnesses.
