North Korea has unveiled a new weapons system.

North Korea announced that it was conducting a test of a new underwater attack weapon system for three days from last Tuesday under the supervision of Kim Jong-un.
North Korean media reported that the unmanned nuclear submarine attack boat, which left the coast of Liwon County, South Hamgyong Province, was submerged for about 59 hours in an elliptical and figure-eight path at a depth of 80 to 150 m.
Then, on the afternoon of the 23rd, after reaching the target point in the waters of Hongwon Bay, which simulated an ‘enemy’ port, the test warhead was reported to have exploded underwater.
“The mission of the underwater nuclear strategic weapon is to submerge stealthily into the operational waters and destroy and destroy groups of enemy ships and major operational ports by causing extremely powerful radioactive tidal waves with underwater explosions.”
North Korea introduced the weapons system as a ‘secret weapon’ and began developing it in 2012.
Since then, the unmanned nuclear submarine attack boat has been named ‘tsunami’ at the 8th Labor Party Congress in January 2021, and has been tested over 50 times over the past two years.
At the same time, he emphasized that Chairman Kim personally led weapons tests 29 times, and that the operational use was decided at the end of December last year.
North Korea also revealed that it conducted a strategic cruise missile firing exercise on the 22nd in Hungnam District, Hamheung City, South Hamgyong Province.
Two ‘Arrow-1’ and two ‘Arrow-2’ flew 1,500km and 1,800km, respectively, revealing that these missiles had simulated nuclear warheads.
“Once again we checked the reliability of the operation of the nuclear detonation control devices and detonators by applying an aerial explosion strike method at a specific height of 600m, one shot for each type of aircraft.”
Chairman Kim, who observed the drill, said, “The overwhelming display of war deterrence will bring despair to South Korea and the United States,” and said, “We will respond more overwhelmingly and more aggressively and strongly” to US and South Korean military actions.
