Ganghwa Manisan Forest Fire Large flames engulfed… Downgraded to Response Level 1
As the large flames of the Manisan forest fire in Incheon Ganghwa Island that occurred yesterday were contained, the fire authorities lowered the response level from level 2 to level 1.
The Forest Service announced that it had completed the main fire evolution around 8:00 am today (27th) and is currently cleaning up the remaining fire.
No casualties have been confirmed so far, but it has been determined that more than 220,000 square meters of forest have been burnt.
The Forest Service and the fire department are extinguishing the fire by using 11 helicopters as soon as the day dawns today (27th).
