Jeong Yoo-jung, who killed a woman in her 20s whom he met through an online tutoring app and left her body, was recently handed over to the prosecution.

When reporters asked about the background of the crime, Jung Yoo-jung replied, “I think I’m out of my mind” and “I’m sorry.”

We will contact reporters who are out on site.

I’m at Busan Dongnae Police Station.

Jeong Yoo-jung, who is under arrest, was transferred to the Busan District Prosecutor’s Office a while ago.

Jeong Yoo-jung, who came out wearing a black hat and mask, said she was not in her right mind when asked if she was trying to fake a disappearance.

He then said he had sincerely apologized to the victims and their bereaved families and said he would participate diligently in the prosecution’s investigation.

However, he kept his mouth shut on other questions, such as why he killed the victim.

On the 26th of last month, Jung Yoo-jung is accused of going to the victim’s house, which he learned through an app trying to tutor, kill the victim, mutilate the body, and then leave it in the grass near the Nakdong River.

Jung admitted the motive for the crime during the police investigation, and it is known that he was interested in the criminal investigation program, and that he committed the crime because he felt the urge to kill and wanted to do it in fact.

Yesterday, the Personal Information Disclosure Discussion Committee made a decision to disclose personal information, noting the seriousness and brutality of the crime and the need for public interest, such as the effectiveness of preventing similar crimes.

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency’s identity disclosure case is the first in 8 years since the identity of the suspect in the theft of a live ammunition shooting range that occurred in Jin-gu, Busan in 2015.

Police are investigating whether Jung is a psychopath, but it has not yet been confirmed whether additional crimes or involvement with accomplices have occurred.
