The People’s Power Ethics Committee made the final decision on the suspension of party membership for Supreme Council Member Kim Jae-win for 1 year and for Representative Tae Young-ho for 3 months of party membership suspension.

People’s Power The Central Ethics Committee decided to punish Supreme Commissioner Kim Jae-won and Representative Tae Young-ho after a 4-hour meeting.
“Regarding the decision on the disciplinary consideration of party members, the following decision was made: Party member Kim Jae-won, supreme member, suspended for one year, and former supreme member, Tae Young-ho, to postpone for three months.”
The Ethics Committee judged that High Commissioner Kim’s comments regarding the constitution of the Spirit of Democracy 5.18 and Pastor Kwang-hoon Jeon had damaged the honor of the party.
In the case of Representative Tae, it was deemed that the disclosure of the transcript, which caused suspicion of ‘interference in the nomination of the president’s office’, was a harmful act for the party, and it was considered against the rules of the ethics committee.
“The story being repeated is a serious act which externally greatly damages the reputation of the party and causes people to deviate, and internally it is an act of self-mutilation which damages the leadership party leadership…”
In the case of Representative Tae, it is interpreted that the fact that he announced his voluntary resignation from the highest member position before the Ethics Committee has affected the disciplinary action lower than originally seen.
On the other hand, in the case of Supreme Commissioner Kim, who was actually sentenced to severe punishment, the most obvious evaluation is that it is difficult to nominate for next year’s general election.
Immediately after the disciplinary announcement, Supreme Commissioner Kim wrote on social media, “I apologize to the fans,” and “I will continue to find work that benefits the party and the country.”
