Zelensky’s ‘surprise visit’ to Mikolaiu, the southern frontline
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the southern city of Mykolayu, which suffered great damage from the Russian attack on the 18th local time, foreign media including AFP news agency reported.
The office of the President of Ukraine also posted on social media that President Zelensky looked around a building in a destroyed residential area.
The visit also included a state government building, where 37 people were killed in a missile attack by Russian forces in late March.
President Zelensky seems to be gradually expanding his range of activities outside the capital Kiiu this month, visiting the main front lines in the eastern Donbas region and the southern city of Zaporiza.
