Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate for People’s Strength, talked about why he ran for the presidency and his wife’s reaction.
In the TV Chosun ‘Sikker Heo Young-man’s Alumni Journey’ broadcast on the 3rd, two candidates who stood at the center of the topic ahead of the 20th presidential election were Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, and Yoon Seok-yeol, the People’s Power presidential candidate. I went in search of taste.
On this day, Heo Young-man met Yoon Seok-yeol, the second foodie, at Inui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. They found the kalguksu house they had been protecting for 40 years.
Yoon Seok-yeol talked about why he was running for president. He said, “Actually, I couldn’t come up with it. I’m not a member of the National Assembly, it’s the presidential election, but a person who worked as a civil servant doesn’t open a small store, but runs a large corporation, so I couldn’t think of it. “I decided to participate,” he said.
When asked how his wife Kim Gun-hee responded to the presidential election, he said, “If my family is going to do anything in politics, let’s go to the family court to get a stamp. I really hated it.”
Yoon Seok-yeol talked about his thoughts on ‘People’s Mind’ while eating Kalguksu. He said, “I started going to the market when I started politics, and I went to a soup restaurant and a kalguksu restaurant in the market. I thought it was a good study. I learn a lot. I learned ‘People’s Mind’. I didn’t think of ‘People’s Mind’ when I was practicing law. I thought I had to do it according to the law. I learned what it was called ‘People’s mind’ while going to the market. If I had only seen democracy and the rule of law in my head, I went to the market and thought about it. I felt it,” he said.
Yoon Seok-yeol compared himself to ‘kimchi stew’, saying, “I like simple and simple things. It is also easy to make.”
Finally, he said, “I think the key is to educate people to create the talents needed by national and social enterprises.” He said, “(If you become president, in the first word), let’s not hate each other (I want to say)”.
‘Food Eater Heo Young-man’s Alumni Journey’ is a program where only Heo Young-man, a foodie, finds the meaning and value of true taste in a simple neighborhood table. It airs every Friday at 8 PM.
