A 40-calendar year-outdated female was arrested by the police for defrauding her 80-calendar year-old mother and thieving masterpieces value 180 billion won.
On the 11th (local time), law enforcement in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, arrested Sabini Cole Bogiic (48, image) on fees of thieving masterpieces and jewellery really worth 700 million serious (about 180 billion received) by defrauding her mother. Sabini is the daughter of a well known Brazilian collector, Jean Bogiic, who died in 2015, and who tricked her mom Genevievi Bogiic, 82, who inherited her father’s well-known images, into stealing paintings.
Sabini claimed that from 2020, an assistant disguised as a shaman, who had worked with gangs and was disguised as a shaman, approached Genevieve and reported she would get ill and die shortly. Genevieve believed the shaman’s terms and sent money to the shaman for ‘spiritual treatment’. The money he paid is reported to have attained 5 million authentic (1.3 billion gained) in two months.
The female and the shaman started out having photos, expressing they were being “less than an evil curse.” The female encouraged them to make payments, and fired the workers so the accomplices could enter the home and acquire the artworks undisturbed. In the process, the criminals imprisoned Genevieve in their dwelling for practically a year.

A whole of 16 paintings were being stolen, like works by famed Brazilian artists these types of as Tarcila do Amarau, Hubens Gersimão and Cicero Gias. Eleven of them were located, but the works bought to art museums in Buenos Aires, Argentina, have not been recovered, law enforcement mentioned.
