At the press conference held at Lee Kang-suk Hall on the Seocho Campus of the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul on that day, Lim Yun-chang was as humble as ever after the competition.
Before the meeting, Lim Yun-chan performed a demonstration performance with Russian composer Aleksandr Scriabin’s Piano Prelude Op.37 No.4 and Piano Sonata No.2.
Lim Yun-chan, who went on stage wearing a black jacket over a black T-shirt, looked as if it had come out of the video of the Van Cliburn Competition.

In a question-and-answer session after the performance, Lim Yoon-chan said, “I’ve only played the piano so far, so nothing will change in the future.” .
Professor Sohn Min-soo of Korea National University of Arts, who attended the meeting, said, “I am grateful to see that Yun-chan Lim is paying a lot of attention to his performances and because the purity of music seems to work with many people.” Professor Son is the teacher Yunchan Lim has been teaching piano since he was 12 years old.
When asked about his impressions of watching the video of his performance at the contest, Lim Yoon-chan gave a laugh, saying, “I erased all YouTube, etc. during the contest.”
Yunchan Lim, who became a global topic after winning the 16th Van Cliburn Competition, which ended on the 18th local time, is scheduled to hold a concert in North America, starting with Aspen, USA in July.
In Korea, on December 10th, a recital to commemorate the victory was held at the Seoul Arts Center’s concert hall to showcase the songs performed in this competition.
