Zelensky warns of resumption of Russian missile strikes

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has warned of new missile attacks from Russia.

“We know that terrorists are planning a new attack,” President Zelensky said in a video address yesterday (27th) “This is true.”

“Unfortunately, as long as they (Russia) have missiles, they will not be silenced.”

“Our military is preparing for this,” he said. “We have prepared for every scenario together with our partners.”

Earlier, as Russia launched massive missile strikes on the infrastructure of major cities, including the capital Kiu, on the 23rd, President Zelensky said that this week will also be a difficult time, following last week.

Meanwhile, the Russian-appointed Enerhodar city administration said on the same day that “the media is actively spreading fake news claiming that Russia plans to withdraw from Enerhodar and leave (the Zaporizhya nuclear power plant).”

Enerhodar is a city in southeastern Ukraine that is home to Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Petro Konin, head of the state-owned nuclear power company Energoatom, claimed on Ukrainian state television that there were signs that Russia was preparing to leave the Zaporizhia nuclear plant.
