Zion Williamson fans had news for Pelicans fans

When the New Orleans got Pelicans the Pick No. 1 in the NBA Draft Lottery, wild basketball fans went to investigate the possibilities for Zion Williamson.

The Pelicans had their own play with Pick Davis Davis, a former number number. 1, the stability was not just clouded to another big star. If Williams decided that he didn't want to play in New Orleans – the NBA's second smallest market – he had options to keep it going. These options included returning to Duke from his sophomore season.

Well, there seems to be good news for Pelicans fans as Williamson's stepfather, Lee Anderson, told an ESPN 104.5 FM in Baton Rouge that Zion is excited about playing in New Orleans. He closed the possibility of returning to Duke.

Anderson said when he was asked about his thoughts on going to the Pollinators:

“We're excited. We're excited about that. One thing that Zion always teaches is to accept what you can't change. You change the things you can change. This was one of the things he had no connection with. It is the NBA process. We are certainly excited about the Crescent City down there in New Orleans.

“And you said about returning to Duke. There is a lot of speculation, but that is why we didn't even think about it. ”

At that point, the co-host Jordy Culotta and T-Bob Hebert made a celebration of Anderson's statements. Which went to show how nervous fans of Pelicewyr were about the possibility that Zion would steal his way out of New Orleans.

But now, it seems that Williamson is committed to playing for New Orleans without seeking trade or making millions without incredible and refusing to play for free at Duke.

Shams Charania reported the athletic on Thursday that Williamson had met in Chicago with the Pelicans and left him positive about the story.

Pelicans fans can now calm down officially.
