According to Facebook on the 1st, CEO Mark Zuckerberg sent a consolation email to Vice Chairman Lee on the 26th of the deceased’s four-day market after hearing the news of Chairman Lee Kun-hee’s death.

Zuckerberg reported that he shared grief over the deceased’s death, and he is known to be willing to help if there is anything to help Vice Chairman Lee.
Zuckerberg sent a consolation e-mail and harmony to the funeral of Samsung Medical Center in Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Zuckerberg and Vice Chairman Lee are alumni of Harvard University. Zuckerberg entered Harvard University in 2002, but dropped out of school in May 2005 and founded Facebook, the world’s largest social media service. Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong completed a doctorate in business administration at Harvard Business School in 2000.
The two are known to have met and built a relationship at the’Sun Valley Conference’, an informal social event held annually at the Sun Valley Resort in Idaho, USA.
In June 2013, CEO Zuckerberg met with Vice Chairman Lee for about 10 hours at Samsung Electronics’ Seocho office building. At the time, Zuckerberg showed an active appearance with Samsung Electronics’ smartphone Galaxy S4 in his hand. Vice-Chairman Lee said, “I was scolded by Zuckerberg’s CEO because I didn’t use Facebook.”
