The second day of the Absa Wildeklawer 2026 rugby festival delivered several competitive matches across multiple age groups, with Monument posting a commanding 41-21 victory over Durban High School in one of the standout senior fixtures.

According to official results published by SuperSport Schools Plus, Monument’s scoring was led by Morne Noble, who crossed for two tries, while Juandre Ehlers, Loghan Langeveldt, and Hanco van Geelen each added one. Jaydon Viljoen contributed significantly with the boot, landing four conversions, a penalty, and a drop goal, in addition to converting one of Noble’s tries.

In other senior action, Stellenberg edged out Maritzburg College 24-19, with tries from Liam Jacobs, Daniel Mongie, Juvan Burden, and Daniel Steffen. Ethan van Biljon was successful on both of his conversion attempts for Stellenberg. For Maritzburg College, Lwanzo Vyambwera, Alande Ngubane, and Theo Boshoff scored the tries, while Dominic du Toit landed both conversions.

Durban High School managed tries through Okuhle Mbanjwa (two), Bulelani Cebani, and Sterling Padi, with Tanwil Onkers converting two of those efforts and adding a penalty. Waterkloof defeated Hoerskool Durbanville 22-15, with tries coming from Stefan Pieters, Liam Schutte, and Mieder Erasmus. Schutte was responsible for both conversions and a penalty for Waterkloof, while Durbanville’s scores came from Hadley Erasmus (two tries) and Louwrens Rademeyer, with Wihan Roux landing all three conversion attempts.

The festival also featured competitive junior matches, with detailed results recorded for the Under-14, Under-15, and Under-16 age groups. While specific scores and scorers for those divisions were not included in the primary match reports, participation and results were confirmed across all levels as part of the day’s proceedings.

Hosted in Kimberley, the Absa Wildeklawer continues to serve as a premier platform for schoolboy rugby in South Africa, drawing top talent from provinces nationwide. The event is organized under the auspices of SuperSport Schools, which provides coverage and official results for all matches.

With Day 2 complete, attention now turns to the final day of competition, where remaining fixtures will determine outcomes across all age categories. The tournament has consistently delivered high-intensity schoolboy rugby, and the 2026 edition has maintained that standard through its first two days of play.
