Editorial Policy

Standards

News Directory 3 publishes brief, source-backed news articles and maintains a directory of US news outlets. Every published brief must either restate or extend information that appears in a verifiable primary source.

Sources

We rely on official statements, regulatory filings, court documents, established newsroom reporting, and primary statements made by named individuals. Single-source pieces are marked as briefs.

Automation

Articles are drafted with automated assistance. A pre-publish quality gate enforces source verification, blocks placeholder and access-denied pages, rejects sub-600-character drafts, and prevents duplicate publication. Every article has a named author of record.

Numbers and quotes

We do not include figures, percentages, follower counts, or dates that are not present in the cited source. Direct quotes appear only when verbatim in the source.

Updates

When a story changes, we update the article and revise the dateModified field rather than republishing.

Independence

Directory listings are not pay-to-list. We do not accept payment in exchange for inclusion, removal, or editorial position in articles.
