The event features 30 teams competing in 72 games, with organizers expecting more than 100,000 attendees. The tournament is hosted at the Kai Tak Sports Park, specifically within the Kai Tak Stadium located at 38 Shing Kai Rd, Kai Tak.
A Milestone Anniversary
The 2026 tournament celebrates half a century of rugby sevens in Hong Kong, with the first kick-off having occurred in 1976. To commemorate the 50th anniversary, the event has expanded its lineup of activities across the three-day weekend.
Beyond the primary rugby competition, the milestone year includes several additional sporting events. These include the Cathay Youth Invitational 7s, Fast 4s Netball, the APPT Grand Slam, and the Primal Race.
Entertainment and Performance Lineup
The event schedule incorporates a variety of live music and entertainment performances throughout the weekend:

- Friday, April 17: The evening begins with K-pop group PRIMROSE and pop vocalist Gwyn Dorado.
- Saturday, April 18: The Vengaboys will perform 90s anthems on the main stage, followed by a late-day set from DJ HANNA.
- Sunday, April 19: Hindley Street Country Club will close the event with a selection of 70s and 80s hits.
Venue Logistics and Partnerships
The Kai Tak Stadium is accessible via a 10-minute walk from either the Sung Woi Toi MTR Station or the Kai Tak MTR Station. Special traffic arrangements have been implemented for the duration of the event from April 17 to 19 to manage the influx of visitors to the Kai Tak Sports Park.
